I upgraded on 23 October. The ticket was reissued 29 October. My credit card was charged the additional tax on 6 November (the phone agent was incredibly apologetic, as the additional tax was only £1.20, but they still had to go through the process), but no Avios have come out of my account as of yet.
MMB says I'm in First and I've selected a seat, so hopefully all is well.
