I personally would not feel quite as comfortable.
My test for those kind of situations is usually: what if the flight gets cancelled? If it is a back-to-back, then if the flight is cancelled the return will be cancelled too so I will not miss the departure on the second ticket.
If it is not a back-to-back then, at a minimum, I would want at least one (but preferably two or more) alternative flight that would arrive early enough for me to still make it in time for the departure of the second ticket.
As I see it, if the CBG flight is cancelled for any reason, then the OP will not make it in time for the GOT departure: it will be too late to make it to another airport to reach GOT in time.
This would be outside my comfort zone. While I suspect that BA in that situation would probably accept to solve the problem by rerouting the passenger ex-LON rather than ex-GOT, this is not officially published policy and I would prefer not to have to test it unless I really had to.
