Exception to this is when flying into YYZ, where I will do almost anything to avoid waiting and hour for my luggage (often delayed until next day - painful).

lol - actually, i don't carry much on. My usual carry-on is my purse (small) and briefcase roller (fits under the seat).
What I meant to convey is that it is so refreshing to walk onto the plane with just my purse and laptop sleeve (and usually a Starbucks) and not have to deal with juggling my coffee and stowing my bag in the overhead bin
