Compared to what? To me, that's a mid-haul flight, and AA treats it as such.

LAX-PVG, LAX-SYD, ORD-DEL, DFW-HKG - those are long haul premium flights, and on the inaugurals for those (SYD pending next month) it has been balloons, cake, punch, gewgaws. UIO isn't longhaul or premium, is currently served - I'd not expect much.
