I don't usually post to criticize staff at T5 as to be honest we have never had anyone who is less than polite helpful and professional !!! Well it had to happen eventually I guess
Asked if our flight was confirmed leaving from B gates yet. Told no but very likely. I said the inbound has landed and did at B**, so could we just go over to the B lounge and come back to A if that changed as its a nice quiet lounge and we are almost certain to leave from there
Answer : I wouldn't recommend it

BA: you can't just come back to A you have to clear security again
Me: not if I use the walkway......
BA: I still wouldn't recommend it
Me: ok but why ? The plane is almost certainly leaving from B as the in bound is
There now, your system says B** but just hasn't officially announced it and it's easy to get back to A by walking..... Not signed well I admit but I've don't it before.
BA. We we don't like people just going from B to A
Me: that makes no sense if it's easy to do and I'm leaving from B anyway it seems.... If we do have to come back to A it's not complicated unless you've changed things in the last 2 months
BA. I still wouldn't recommend it.
Me: you aren't making any sense - is there a problem getting back to A airs side for B airside
BA -well you can't just take the train. You'll have to clear security again
Me: I won't take the train. I'll take the tunnel and walk
BA : I wouldn't recommend it......

At this point I got a text the flight was leaving from B**
We left for B. And are sitting in the B lounge being told when we arrived the Gate is open we should go to the gate by the lounge checkin lady...... I said it's not leaving for 100 mins......

Thank god for liquor..........
