Finally, the new A321s where meant to replace the B757s. To take that role (flying leisure destinations on medium-long haul with one-class config) I assume AY went with highest possible density. The A321 holds 18 seats less than the B757 did, but has the same range and much better fuel economy.

They might be new planes, but they were never meant to be very comfortable...
