As to the discussion about all of the cooties that fabric seats hold . . . .

I remember flying on a WN flight - and, of course, they have vinyl/faux leather seats. I saw a family of 3 a couple of rows in front of me who had some kind of seat covers sild over the seat backs AND bottoms of the airplane seat!

I thought, ok. They're germophobes, or something, or may have some kind of an intolerance or even extreme peanut allergy. So, when they got off the plane, I realized that they left the seat covers behind!

I didn't check today, but, I remember looking around online, and finding that you can actually buy DISPOSABLE airplane seat covers!!!
