The Redeemable miles in 'Late 2016' are going to be utterly terrible. Some domestic fares were illustrated above but look at this example. I fly to Asia for business 3-4 times per year. The most recent flight was MCO to HKG. The fare paid was $790 with base of $641.
Under the old system - all flights had SWU. RDM - 36,300 including ExPlat bonus.
New SWU only on 2 of 4. RDM - 641*11 = 7,051 - a 81% REDUCTION.
That is just staggering, in all manners.
RDM's, while a lot folks on here don't care about them, are the one benefit that allows my family to travel for free every summer - something we have truly come to enjoy and will be sad to see go.
