It's completly insignificant to me what the break down of the fares is. All I care about is total price. I don't care if it's a $2 fare and $298 in taxes and the rest, or $250 with $50 in taxes and the rest.

Taxes and the rest will never change, and because the air fares are so low now, it's a much larger percentage of the total ticket price then it was in the past, to we all notice it more.
