We are a corporation headquartered in HKG so managers on all our HKG-SIN routes (which constitute most of our regional trips) suddenly had to slum it out in Y. I suspect they complained and very soon after the policy was revised back to Y only if below 3.5 hours.
One thing I really don't get is why some very senior folks in the organization get to travel F regardless of distance. There is nothing on a business trip that they shouldn't be satisfied with J as compared to F.
