I called them up in the German number provided, and it was already quite skeptical as it was a Indian accented speaking poorly German. The agent was speaking German is a very strong Russian accent. Telling me this code is needed, and I explained I do not have it yet, as it is not shown as booked yet in my transactions but I can give it later. She said that is fine before midnight, alternatively I would need to send a copy of my passport + my credit card number for the first and last 4 digits, PLUS the security number - which I was also skeptical about!
When I checked my mail again around 10pm tonight, they frigging canceled my ticket saying that they think -I- am the fraud here... Tried to call them, they said they were not available, despite advertising 24/7 support. Found their .com page and tried to call that number, which was not in use!
After looking at a German forum, it seems like they did not have any legal company registration information nor any trustworthy information. Later on discover that they have absolutely not any trustful information, let alone what is written on the "About Us" page!!
If this is really fraud, I am quite disappointed of Momondo - as I have seen it as a trusted website that would prevent scam websites like these to be included!
After extensive research, I was unable to verify the address as legitimate. I've traced the listed address to a virtual office location (AKA you pay a small fee to use a front hood address for a business) and the number is re-used for other fraudulent purposes.
The company record listed in the UK database appear to be legitimating. There was a change of address to that location. However, it is run by only one director with little income.
