Hi everyone, first post! I am curious about 2 upgrades I got earlier in the year, which coincidentally happened around the time I got Gold status. Both times, I had asked the gate agent when checking in about changing a seat, as I had a difficult time doing so on the app or on the website. Both times I ended up getting a business class seat on an international flight. One from the US to Heathrow, and one from Dusseldorf to the US. MEGA! Is this just coincidence and friendly gate agents or is there something more to it? I noticed when I first got Silver on Delta a couple of years ago I got some first class upgrades (domestic) out of the blue.

I've done a ton of miles since those upgrades occurred, but I haven't been lucky enough to get a random upgrade on international since. I'm looking to hit EXP at the end of this year.

I also read on a couple of posts that you can't collect "stickers" as EXP?
