And if UA pulls out, can't another carrier move in? Or are you saying the routes would only be viable to other carriers with government subsidies - in which case UA is truly doing the region a favor by sustaining service at a loss.

They did. I was referring to the operational headaches due to the remoteness, like having to have a mechanic fly on board, tankering fuel, etc.
