They are certainly open at three hours.

One saving grace is that there is a very good Centurian Lounge landside. We tend to head there and wait until the three hour point when coming in from PVR or SJD. They have private rooms, screened by a curtain from the main lounge which families can use. You pay for food and beverages but it really is a haven compared to the main terminal. It has AC which actually works and you'll notice how warmer the main terminal is when you head out.

Once Airside, we too prefer the AA lounge. Their WiFi is faster for a start and it tends to be less busier than Salon Iberia. There isn't much between them though and we will split time between them more as a way of breaking the boredom.

The BA flight leaves from the 40 Gates and the area around these will be heaving as Lufty have a 747-8 leaving at the same time. There is another Centurian Lounge here which gets you away from the gate lice. F passengers are on the day VIP list for BA and the same check-in desk staff will look out for you and take you out from the queue for real priority boarding.
