I had booked the cheapest room as I usually do, expecting an upgrade of some sort. The FDC did refer to it as "an upgrade" but I don't know what all the other options would have been. It was large, and faced onto the street as opposed to a brick wall. But it wasn't a corner and wasn't on the top floor.
