Well, with regards to the first part, WS is easier to achieve that. Upgrades can also be easier. I forget the exact number, but I was mailed 4? upgrades on WS to WS Plus. With only a $6000 spend that's a pretty good deal.
Every single time that I've boarded WS, there's been like no one in zone 1.
Mind you, WS let's the AC equivalent of zone 2.5 board first.
