And, when it comes to changes with A3, Expedia (Canada) is not a good suggestion. I had a LCA-ATH-VIE ticket and wanted to travel on a different date. If I had booked directly with A3, I could have paid 20 Euro, received a refund of my taxes, and booked a new ticket. But because I booked through Expedia, I couldn't cancel directly with A3.
And because I had booked through Expedia, I had to call them. The phone number they provided with my booking was wrong. Wrong part of Expedia. So after waiting and explaining, I had to start all over again. Then, Expedia wouldn't know what the fare rules were. They didn't have access to the fare rules. I had to wait and wait and wait while they called some department who then called the airline.
In the end I was told that there is no refund of anything, but that a change would cost Euro 40 per ticket. (Whereas the A3 website said Euro 40 per segment, and I mentioned that, but they said tickets through Expedia are different.)
So I changed the ticket. The next day, they call me and explain that the change fee is actually Euro 40 per segment (oh, really) and that they couldn't issue the new ticket, so they'll refund the charge. Then they will issue a new ticket, charge the higher price, and then refund the Euro 40, because it was their mistake. I had to approve that and then wait while they went about their work.
No, Expedia is not what I was looking for.
Let's take the example, I book JTR -> LYS, the official is JTR -> ATH -> LYS, but the day and time are not ideal. However, in expedia can find JTR -> ATH -> HER -> LYS, this one may be booked separated in official one, it is not sure to be possible requesting this one by calling A3.
I understand your concern and consume the time dealing if any happenings, but sometimes 3rd party is better.
