Who needs what the galley ordered? Picking up what the airlines left off, the Doral Park Avenue in New York is offering carry-on eats to replace in-flight meals that the airlines recently cut.
The Runway Gourmet program, launched in early December, is designed for customers catching flights after check out from the 188-room hotel on Park Avenue and 38th Street in Manhattan.
"Airlines have been decreasing the quality of their product offered or eliminating it entirely," said Adam Rothman, food and beverage director of the hotel. "We wanted to provide clientele with a superior product and make sure they had a pleasant flight."
