To me, it seems like the SIN-AKL leg get released first and often books quickly leaving the ZUR-AKL (via SIN) or AMS-AKL (via SIN) not showing saver level availability. And of course some routes do not release 3 business class award seats too!
I've just managed to book 2 saver J seats and 1 standard J seat awards for AMS-SIN-CHC in Oct 2016.
The seats I wanted were released initially at Full miles at midnight GMT and then standard/saver award seats generally appear between 3.30-4am that morning during the week and a little later at the weekend. I followed it for about a week so I could get the seats I wanted but it never happened at the same time exactly each day!
Anyway - hope that helps someone get the award seat they want!
