As I continue my research, it seems like Fairmont Orchid charges a resort fee but Mauna Kea doesn't? If that is the case, I am leaning towards Mauna Kea. It is less so the cost but I dislike being gouged on like this. Just rubs me the wrong way especially when the competition is taking the high road
