If HPs are going to create high floor versus low floor room categories, then Diamonds should be entitled to get the best available room at check in.
I've had trouble recently at HPs, not just about high versus low floor, but about switching bedding type when what I want (one king rather than two doubles) is available at check in but not when I made the reservation. Sometimes one king rooms are the same price as two doubles, sometimes they're expensive, and sometimes they're less expensive, so it's hard to see that HP considers one of these categories to be a *better* room.
