LAX is very difficult to predict. I've had some very short taxi times at LAX as well as some very long ones. There are a lot of external factors such as weather, airport construction, flights bunching up due to other unrelated delays, etc. The flights do have extra taxi time built into the schedule but, obviously, it is not always enough.
