I mean to say that Ellerman is further from the V&A (15-20 min drive) compared with the Dock House, Cape Grace, and O&O which are located right on the V&A. Ellerman is about the same drive distance to the Table Mountain Cable Car. But Ellerman is a farther drive to almost all of the top restaurants in town or on the peninsula.
I agree that regular visitors to Cape Town may enjoy Ellerman, since I also love the Camps Bay area. But I remain convinced that first time visitors to town would likely find it more convenient being closer to the V&A.
Ellerman is a wonderful property...feeling more like you're in a nice home in a residential area. But it is harder to walk to anything from Ellerman. And it is more pricey than the other options.
