It may or may not be a "reasonable" option, but a roundtrip excursion ticket from Manhattan to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, with a local LANTA bus between the casino and Allentown, would likely be cheaper. There are the regular, commercial bus options from Port Authority Bus Terminal, as well as the so-called Asian line-run buses between some NYC neighborhoods and the casino. A call to the Sands Casino's Bus Marketing Department can probably yield more information about the latter.
