My friend got a BIG buck knife (3 or 4 inch blade) through security at the airport. He was dropping me off, and decided to come in and wait with me.

We got to the security check, and he simply took the buck knife out of his pocket with the keys and placed them in the little bucket the security guy holds when you go through the detector. Once through, he reached in, grabbed his knife, and went on his way.

I don't think that the "guard" was looking at anything in that bucket. I wonder if someone could have placed a small gun in there and then got it from him on the other side???
