If you read my opening post, you'd see that such "complex" things have been installed by the likes of other airlines and hotels. We don't all have to be software engineers to understand the simplicity of use, the potential to make things easier and quite frankly, the lack of such an effort on the part of a major (international) airline and corporation like Air Canada is not impressive.

Sure, AC has bigger issues to deal with, but I'm with the voice in the other thread who said AC should spend less time hiring famous chefs to fiddle with food menus and so on.

And I'd be willing to bet they can all handle 2D bar codes, too, as most (all?) boarding passes have these codes. There's no reason a virtual card couldn't be implemented with minimal disruptions.
