The 50k selections essentially become "incremental" to the 35k ones. So if you had chosen 35k aeroplan miles at e35, then you chose 50k aeroplan miles at e50, you would only get an incremental 15k miles the second time.
In other words, it doesn't matter what you would have chosen for e35, because your e50 choices would overrule them.
