Over 150 posts on pure speculation that Hyatt will actually buy Starwood with properties in Japan being unilaterally decided which ones will become PHs and other HRs (do you even know what stds Hyatt imposes to become a HR? I do as I was one of the co-construction manager for the construction of a prop to become an HR and its NOT fun from their no advertising rules – take the Sony logos off the TV sets – to a light switch having to be 6-6.5 inches from the top of a night stand all impacting upon cost as we had at least 8 mock-up rooms before being OKeyed to go but I’m sure current Starwood owners will just fork over $100ks just to be called a Hyatt!). Changing the Hyatt points system, changing/CXLing CCs even renaming the merged companies. Get a life people !!!!!!!!!!!!

Then of course Starwood has so many lower brands which just doesn’t fit into Hyatt. It would have with IHG and that deal went south as more then likely will this one as in reality all it takes is an extra $1 to be offered by an outsider, even Chinese soverign fund, and your pipe dreams are gone.

And let's not mention at least one (that I know of) Class Action lawsuit hanging over Starwood that would make its value even lower then it is today as no one wants that type of aggrevation.
