Strange Schedule Change One Week Before Travel
I have an AA award ticket that was routed as follows for travel on November 3:
MCI-ORD (F)
ORD-IAH (F)
IAH-DOH (QR J)
Last Thursday I received a call from AA changing me to MCI-DFW-IAH with additional two hours in IAH. I don't mind but the funny thing is that the original MCI-ORD-IAH flights were still available for award online. Was this case where I exceeded the MPM and it wasn't caught until a week before travel? Or could it be a case of a FAM? I was just curious as I've never had a schedule change (what the AA agent called it) that close to the travel date.
