We were then completely baffled by the TG international lounges at BKK (connecting onto TK) when we discovered that they serve wine in only one of the four or five TG lounges (the big one in D). The other international lounges serve beer, whiskey, even port and cognac, just no wine! We got our exercise walking from the E to D lounges (1.8 km round-trip) and were greeted with the brilliant enologic options of "red" and "white". Just makes no sense at all to have a rule like this. Any thoughts from those with more experience at BKK? By the way, we're now enjoying the Istanbul lounge, which truly lives up to its high billing!

Yes, I agree, no alcoholic drinks on domestic flights, including Bangkok Air. I also have been puzzled that most of the TG Business (Royal Silk) Lounges do not serve wine, but certainly offer other alcoholic drinks. I can't think of another airline lounge with a similar strange policy. Of course their First Class (Royal Orchid) Lounge has a bar and bartender and serves champagne and wine.
