I had the opposite problem. I received my debit card before my acct. #'s(3-4 days after opening account). I knew not to activate the debit card yet b/c you get locked out of online access.
Did you open the account online? My account number show up immediately after I applied. And I am sure if you give Citi a call they can tell you your account number over the phone.
