It was really enjoyable, this was the first D1 I've flown. Have had other 1st, just not D1. This was on a 767-300. My experience was like others have described; excellent FA service, decent food, seat that's not as cushy other product. (I'd flown AF to India earlier this year, and found that 1st lie-flat seat to have a bit more cushion. And AF meals were generally more... interesting.)

As for the flight, quite smooth... while reports from other associates flying other routes/carriers (AA DFW-LHR and DL ATL-LHR) that their flights were bumpy the whole way.

Ironically (?), maybe 15 minutes earlier, I'd asked another GA for any suggestions on asking for an UG at the gate for my return LHR-SEA. A very casual, "hey you don't ask, you never get" sort of ask. The GA agreed it's always worth a shot, and just being nice is the way to go. (The LHR-SEA flight is practically empty at this point, so I'm hoping, but not expectant.) So after asking about how to ask for my next flight, I get one for THIS flight! Really made me wish I'd played Lotto!
