Got rejected by the Oneworld lounge at LAX on my AA business class ticket to LHR, because the flight departed from T4 not the Int terminal (i had a 6 hour layover). Girl said i need to be sapphire to gain access and that my ticket only worked in the crummy Admirals club lounge.

Qantas, who operate this lounge, have been disregarding a number of rules and there are at least two FT threads and an Australian thread about it. Some of the errors were supposed to have been corrected yesterday but there may still be others. You should raise complaints with AA and QF. They may be able to claim that they have to limit access to TBIT departures at certain times because of limited capacity but they don't seem to have raised that with you.
