I can well understand your comments, eccollect. The one and only time I flew with AA, a couple of years ago, from ORD to MIA, I checked in and asked if it was possible to get a window seat. The "extremely pleasant" agent told me - the plane is full, and you'll get what you're given. Well, she gave me a middle seat and the plane was nowhere near full.

Never have I met such a bunch of arrogant and obnoxious airline staff. Sorry, there's one exception - that bossy, prissy staff at BA - unfortunately, my home airline. Example reply, business class LHR - FCO, when, on a nearly three hour flight, I asked for my third glass of mineral water: "There's none left, you've drunk it all!"

No wonder they want to get into bed together, they have so much in common!
