Club Carlson site has a search by map function. Have you checked that?

So you have an 8:30am flight but you dont want to stay near LHR... Have you checked transportation options from London city that would ensure you NOT to miss your flight?

I were you I would pick a LHR hotel and just go to London for the day given you arrive in the morning. Drop the bags at the hotel, take the metro to town and return the the hotel for the night.
