You usually get 1EQM per mile flown, even on the cheapest Y tickets, whereas EQPs range from 0.5 for cheap Y up to 1.5 for premium fares. This year, discount business and first get 2.0 EQPs per mile, and full fare business and first get 3.0, making it perhaps a better deal to qualify on points rather than miles.

Hello. I have a PHL-MIA-SJU-CLT-PHL in premium for $1314-$300 eVoucher (2ppl) 12/7-14. How do I get it to become full fare?
I made Plat via the EQP challenge (Gold for the Better 1/2) but my AA acct says that I need 8664 miles to get my 500 mile upgrades of which I guess means that I will be EXPlat (I'm asking pls) and will be getting systemwide upgrades as well.
I'm combining this MR w/ a Marriott Gold challenge.
