Thats not the point - the fact that the property has this sneaky policy seems like moneygrab to me.
This is far outside common industry practice and it erodes trust in brand in general. Who knows what other charges may be buried in fine print...
Not sure I would consider this totally outside of spg hotels practice... pretty absurd cancellation fees on most vacation destination hotels.
