i got delta connect working on the new $50 amazon fire tablet

for anyone looking to get an inexpensive tablet to use to watch delta studio content, i spent a little time messing around with the new $50 amazon fire tablet

Amazon Amazon

this tablet is officially "unsupported" by delta. i was able to accomplish this without rooting the tablet.

basically, follow the instructions here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/amaz...tore-t3216122/

this will get the google play store app on to your fire. once this is done, use the play store to download google's chrome browser.

when you get on the plane, use chrome to connect to gogo and select something to watch. your browser will tell you that you have not installed the gogo player. follow the instructions and install it. after doing this, you should be able to watch your selection.

give it a go with some free content first to make sure it's working. i was able to watch a movie on my flight last night after doing the above.
