Going thru Int'l Visitors line as a GE US Citizen?

Hi. Was wondering if anyone knew or had experience with this. I will be traveling with an international visitor on a US visa, entering thru SFO. I am a US citizen and have Global Entry. I would like to just join the line with the visitor and not make them wait for a long time alone in line. Does anyone know if there will be an issue when I reach the CBP officer? Do they have a problem with a US Citizen in the international line?

Thanks for any info or sharing any experiences.
