As slow as advertised
So far on this trip, I have been on Softbank (Japan), 3 (Hong Kong), China Mobile (mainland China) and M1 (Singapore). I was able to send iMessages as well as messages on WeChat, Line and Whatsapp. Got the welcome texts from Tmob each time and commenced use.

Anything that was media intensive (FB, IG) took forever to load.
