I wouldn't worry too much. My own experience was:
1 Oct (around lunchtime Brazil time) - Signed up for Amigo membership (fortunately, I made a record of my membership number which appeared on the website after signing up) and e-mailed a status match request in Portuguese
12 Oct (morning Brazil time) - Received an e-mail in Portuguese from Avianca Brazil welcoming me to the Amigo programme and enclosing my membership number
24 Oct (afternoon Brazil time) - Received an e-mail in Portuguese from Avianca Brazil notifying me that my Amigo membership had been upgraded to Gold
My time line is similar upto oct 12
then nothing though I wrote in English
