BTW and somewhat OT, TD requires 100% of the fare be charged to the card to validate the travel insurance. The use of an AC Gift Card in combination with the balance with the card would disqualifies any coverage as it would be <100%. Therefore, the AC Gift Card is useless even if it's free.
EVERYONE has to check with the bank's insurance department to confirm insurance coverage....ESPECIALLY if you've made a travel reservation on one product and switch....even if it's an upgrade...to another product.
