AFAIK if it is an upgrade from Infinite to Infinite Privilege with any outstanding charges transferred to the new card automatically - YES. If one cancels the old Infinite card and apply afresh for an Infinite Privilege - NO.

BTW and somewhat OT, TD requires 100% of the fare be charged to the card to validate the travel insurance. The use of an AC Gift Card in combination with the balance with the card would disqualifies any coverage as it would be <100%. Therefore, the AC Gift Card is useless even if it's free.
