Personally, I would be saving the cost of those nine nights and use that money to pay for upgraded rooms when I need them.

It would be a crapshoot on whether you would get any upgrade via your Ambassador anyway.

On another front, if it was my wedding cutting costs would be the last consideration. If I wanted to impress, I would bite the bullet and pay for the room I want. This is hopefully the only wedding you will have.... not the time to depend on the kindness of others.

And, "throwing" away $900 to get to 100 nights to me makes no sense... but I am sure many would do it in a heartbeat.
