Be really careful about the buyback program. In particular, if you spend 25K points to buy back Gold, those points will be deducted from your lifetime points earnings (if you're trying to hit lifetime gold at some point).
It may be worthwhile in your case to either spend the $10K or manufacture the 10K spend if you really want to stay gold. 25K points is quite a bit for what gold status is.
