I strongly agree -- Alcatraz is historically important, and the short ferry ride to/from is great all by itself. Be sure to book your Alcatraz tickets long in advance! Many visitors discover the hard way that Alcatraz is all booked up for the entire duration of their stay.
Still plenty of availabilty for my dates. Is the Night tour worth doing for the extra $7?
