I lost a bag by not going to bag claim right away. I had time to kill so I had a beer and a meal at the airport. Bag wasn't there. Filed a claim and they never found it, so I assume it was stolen. The airline had me fill out everything that was in there and it's value. They claimed about $700. They gave me $400. They wouldn't pay for my text book either, worth about $100. It was a pain.
