Westin Siray Bay - here are your answers!

1) Can someone comment on the relative value of arranging the Camry through the hotel or getting a taxi on arrival? 1300 THB sounds a bit steep, are the hotel surcharges added on top of this?
2) Has anyone done an excursion to Phi Phi Islands starting from the hotel? Could you please comment on the experience and the cost?

Thanks!
We are here right now. A taxi was easy from the airport and we paid $800 THB upon arrival at the hotel. You exit the airport and there is a taxi stand - you let them know where you want to go and they will indicate which driver to follow. Easy. We didn't bother with the taxi places inside the airport - some of them want you to go to a timeshare presentation and will offer a free taxi ride. No thanks.

We are doing the Phi Phi Islands tour tomorrow (weather permitting) and it's a full day thing going to different islands on a high speed boat, transport from hotel, lunch and snacks included, for $3300 THB - the desk that handles this is in the lobby of the hotel, open all day. They use a company called Andaman Leisure Phuket. We tried to book a couple of other companies popular on tripadvisor but they were fully booked (and cost more because they take a limited amount of people). You pay for this at checkout and can cancel if the weather is bad the morning of the tour.

Hope this helps!
