The aircraft was a 744, I was on the upper deck, and it was flat (measured by eye) business class seats. And it wasn't a one time occurrence, I had been on the same configuration before flying YVR-FRA.

While we are at it, a bit of hopefully useful information for UA flyers not yet familiar with this configuration:

Unlike UA's upper deck, these Lh aircraft don't have the window storage boxes. But on the flip side they have much larger overhead bins that had no problem shutting with my 21" carry on.
Thanks for all your updates and corrections.

I have been trying to stay away from LH 744 the last couple of years due to the lack of flat seatings and now with your updates, I will give it a try.
