An EWR-based UA GS contemplating switching to DL? This must be some kind of joke. As others have said, UA is just fine. Some folks out there just have an ax to grind, in my view. The only issue might be that the ground staff at EWR can get a tad cranky at times, but nothing that a GS shouldn't be able to deal with.
Perhaps some have an axe to grind. But perhaps some of us have had a few years of truly bad service as UA elites. Really no need to dismiss the real-world experiences of many people with experience and legitimate complaints.
I very recently switched from UA to DL. I don't care so much about the respective FF programs but rather how each airline treats its customers on the ground and in the air. On those fronts, DL has so far been far superior.
